Psalm 34:1-4 KJV
I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
It’s not easy, blessing the Lord at ALL times, continually praising him. But there’s a secret in there: That blessing and praise, that boasting in the Lord is what diminishes the magnitude of our fears and our anxieties because God is our focus. Worship of God is what gives us life – the worries do the opposite. I think we forget the importance of worship, but that is to our detriment. “Worship” is more than what we attend at 9:30 on Sunday morning. Worship is a way of life, THE way of life.
